Season's first snowfall!

Since this semester was a bit of a blur for me, I hardly noticed that we made to the month of December without snowfall.

In fact, it was only a couple weeks ago that our weather consisted of 60 degree weather and predominantly sunshine.  Until last night.  Southeast Michigan experienced its first snowfall.

Usually, when the word snowfall rolls out of a Michigander's mouth, it is quickly followed with a negative comment about shoveling, frozen car doors or bitter winter winds.

But last night, as a Michigander who usually shivers at the thought of the long winter stretch, I cheered as the snow fell.

To make the experience all the more enjoyable, I happened to be driving through downtown Rochester Hills taking in the 1 million plus LED Christmas lights covering the storefronts.

It was quite the seasonal couple of moments.
